Rasheed ya samu digirinsa na farko a fannin kere kere a jami’ar Bayero ta Kano, sannan ya kuma samu digiri a fannin fasaha daga jami’ar Nottingham sannan ya samu digiri na uku daga jami’ar Ahmadu Bello da ke Zariya. [2]

Rasheed ya zama mataimakin shugaban jami’ar Bayero a shekara ta 2010, ya rike mukamin har zuwa shekara ta 2015. A shekara ta 2016, an kuma naɗa Rasheed a matsayin babban sakataren Hukumar Kula da Jami’o’i ta Kasa. [3]

A wasu hanyoyin da za a ci gaba da tunawa da irin kyawawan ayyukan da Farfesan ya yi wajen ci gaban jami’ar a lokacin da yake rike da mukaminsa, an sanya wa wani katafaren ginin majalisar dattijai sunan sa wanda shi ne ginin majalisar dattijai Farfesa Abubakar Adamu Rasheed da ke cikin jami’ar.[4]

A ranar 17 ga watan Junairu ne Jami’ar Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), Kano ta karrama Farfesa Abubakar Adamu Rasheed da lakca ta Twin Theatre wadda aka sanya wa sunansa kuma shi ne ya dauki nauyin gudanar da laccar Theatre[5].
