Umaru Shehu (An haife shi ne a ranar 8 ga watan Disamba, a shekarar 1930), ya kasan ce shi ne farfesa a likitancin Nijeriya kuma tsohon Mataimakin Shugaban Jami'ar Nijeriya, Nsukka. Ya kasance Farfesa Emeritus, lafiyar al'umma, Jami'ar Maiduguri kuma tsohon Shugaban Kwalejin Kimiyya ta Najeriya.
Farfesa Umaru ya sami digiri na farko na likitanci, MBBS daga Jami'ar London. Farfesa Umaru Shehu ba kawai shahararren farfesa ne a likitancin Najeriya ba, dattijo ne.[1][2]

[gyara sashe | gyara masomin]A jami'ar Bayero, Kano, an nada shi Pro-kansila da kuma shugaban majalisar gudanarwa, daga a shekarar 1993-1996,[3] sannan kuma ya ninka matsayin Pro-kansila da shugaban kwamitin gudanarwa na jami'ar ta Lagos, daga shekarar 1996-1997.[4][5] Ya yi aiki a matsayin memba na kwamitoci da yawa, kansiloli, ɓangarori dakuma kwamitocin a matakin kasa da na duniya.
Farfesa Umaru Shehu ya kasance shugaban makarantun koyon aikin likitanci a Afirka, daga shekarar 1973-1975; kuma mai nazarin waje na kiwon lafiyar jama'a, jami'ar makarantar likitanci ta Ghana. Shine shugaban kwamitin gwamnoni na yanzu na kungiyar STOPAIDS; shugaban hukumar kula da cutar kanjamau ta ƙasa, (NACA)]. Ya kuma sami haɗin gwiwa na Cibiyar Nazarin ciwon Kansa.
