John Yahaya Madaki [1] (?-2018). Ya kasance gwamnan mulkin soja a jihar Katsina, Najeriya a watan Disamban shekarata 1989, a lokacin mulkin soja na Janar Ibrahim Babangida. Ya miƙa mulki wa zaɓaɓɓen gwamnan farar hula Saidu Barda a watan Janairun shekarar 1992 a farkon jamhuriya ta uku ta Najeriya.[2]

An haifi Madaki a Gawu Babangida a ƙaramar hukumar Gurara, Jihar Neja. An yi masa laƙabi da "kwararre a cikin daji" bayan ya halarci wani kwas a Malaya kan (Jungle Warfare and Combat Survival). A lokacin juyin mulkin 1985 da Janar Ibrahim Babangida ya hau mulki, Manjo John Madaki shi ne kwamandan bataliya ta 123 na masu gadi a Ikeja, kuma ya taimaka wajen samun nasarar juyin mulkin.[3]

Gwamnan Katsina

Madaki ya samu muƙamin Laftanar Kanar kuma ya zama gwamnan jihar Katsina a watan Disamban shekarar 1989.[4] Katsina ita ce cibiyar Harkar Musulunci da aka kafa a shekarar 1985 da nufin kafa daular Musulunci a Najeriya. A cikin watan Mayun 1990, Madaki ya gargaɗi dukkan malaman addini da su guji shiga harkokin siyasa, sannan ya kafa hukumar addini da za ta ba da izini da kuma kula da ayyukan dukkan masu wa'azin Musulunci a Jihar.[5] Hankali ya tashi, bayan wannan furuci har takai an samu tarzoma an kama da yawa daga cikin shugabannin masu kishin Islama.[6] Bayan mika mulki ga gwamnan farar hula a watan Janairun 1992, Madaki ya sake komawa ziyarar aiki sau biyu a matsayin Kwamanda, kafin ya yi ritaya a matsayin Kanar.[4]

Bayan ya yi ritaya daga aikin soja, Madaki ya zama ƙwararren ɗan wasan golf kuma kyaftin na farko na (IBB Golf and Country Club).[7] A cikin watan Afrilun 2006, an naɗa shi mamba a Kwamitin Tallafawa Balaguro na Ƙwararrun Ƙwararru ta Najeriya (PGAN).[8] Madaki memba ne mai tasiri a Cocin Katolika. A watan Oktobar 2003, ya gana da shugabannin coci, inda ya ba su tabbacin goyon bayan Ibrahim Babangida idan ya zama shugaban kasa a 2007.[9] A 2009, ya kasance shugaban hukumar jin daɗin alhazai ta FCT.[10] Shi ne mai riƙe da Order of St. Gregory (KSG) wanda Paparoma ya bayar a 2009.[11][12]

An naɗa Madaki a matsayin shugaban hukumar kula da harkokin kasuwanci a watan Mayun 2001.[13] A watan Agusta 2007, Shugaba Umaru 'Yar'adua ya amince da nadinsa a matsayin mai ba da shawara na musamman kan harkokin tsaro ga ministan babban birnin tarayya Aliyu Modibbo Umar.[14][15] A cikin wannan rawar a cikin Mayu 2009, ya amince da murkushe ta'addanci a cikin FCT, ba tare da keɓance ayarin motocin VIP ba.[16]
