A ranar 30 ga Nuwamba, 2021, wani kwale-kwalen da ya kife da lodin mutane sama da 50, akasari yara masu shekaru tsakanin 8 zuwa 15, ya kife a kogin Bagwai a jihar Kano, Najeriya.[1][2] Aƙalla an tabbatar da mutuwar mutane 29 sannan wasu 13 sun ɓace. [1] [2]

Hatsarin jiragen ruwa dai ya zama ruwan dare a Najeriya saboda yawan lodi, rashin kyawun yanayi, rashin kula da lafiyar fasinjoji da kuma rashin ƙa’idojin kare lafiyar fasinjoji.[2] A watan Mayu, kimanin mutane 100 ne suka mutu sakamakon nutsewar wani jirgin ruwa a Kogin Neja dake kan iyakar Neja Kebbi.

Jirgin ruwan yana ɗauke ne da ɗaliban makarantar Islamiyya daga ƙauyen Badau zuwa garin Bagwai da ke gefen kogi don gudanar da wani bikin addini.[2][3]

A cewar Saminu Abdullahi, kakakin hukumar kashe gobara ta jihar Kano, jirgin na ɗauke da mutane 12 ne, amma sama da mutane 50 ne ke cikin jirgin a lokacin da hatsarin ya afku.[4]

An ceto fasinjoji bakwai kuma an tura su asibiti yayin da wasu 13 suka ɓace.[1] Ayyukan ceto sun haɗa da ƴan sanda, jami’an kwana kwana, ‘yan sa-kai da Jamia'an tsaron farin kaya na Najeriya.[5]
