Zaynab Alƙali (An haife ta a shekara ta 1950) ta kasance farfesa ce a harshen Turanci. Kuma ta fito ne daga gidan Turah-Mazila dake jihar Borno da jihar Adamawa.[1]

An haifi Zainab Alkali ne a garin Tura-Mazila a jahar Borno dake Arewacin ƙasar Najeriya a shekarar ta 1950 ,Ta fara karatun ta na sakandire a Queen Elizabeth dake jiharar Illor. Sannan ta tafi zuwa Jami'ar Ahmadu Bello dake Zaria, inda ta samu digirin ta na farko dana biyu. Daga baya ta koma Jami'ar Bayero dake jihar Kano shekarar a 1973 inda ta karanta turanci har ta kai ga ta samu digiri na uku wato matakin Dakta.[2]

Zainab Alkali ta shahara a rubuce-rubucen taƙaitattun ƙagaggun labarai, littafinta na farko data wallafa ya shahara, shi ne littafinta 'The Stillborn' a shekara ta 1984, sannan sai littafinta na biyu 'Virtuous woman' wadda Longman suka wallafa a shekara ta 1987, Zainab Alkali dai ta kasance marubuciya kuma ta wallafa littafai da dama, kuma littattafanta sun kasance an fassara su zuwa yaruka daban-daban kamar Jamusanci, larabci, Faransanci, Safaniyanci da dai sauran su. Tana daga cikin mata marubuta na farko a Arewacin Najeriya.

Zainab ta auri tsohon shugaban jami'ar Maiduguri Mohammed Nur Alkali kuma suna da 'ya'ya shida tare.[3]
