Cibiyar ci gaban mata ta kasa ( NCWD ) wata sana'a ce mallakin gwamnatin Najeriya da ke Abuja . An kafa shi a shekara ta 1997. [1]

An ba da aikin NWCD a ranar 17 ga Oktoba 1997, kuma an ƙirƙira shi akan Cibiyar Bincike da Koyarwa ta Majalisar Dinkin Duniya don Ci gaban Mata (INSTRAW). Yana aiki tare da haɗin gwiwar ma'aikatar harkokin mata da ci gaban zamantakewa ta tarayyar Najeriya . [2] Tsakanin 1997 zuwa 2003 NCWD ta buga mujallar, Hotunan Matar Najeriya . [3]

A 2013 Shugaba Goodluck Jonathan ya nada Onyeka Onwenu a matsayin Babban Darakta/Babban Babban Jami’in Hukumar NCWD. Onwenu ta yi aiki na tsawon shekaru biyu da rabi, inda ta yi ikirarin cewa ta samu karfin gwiwa a cikin mawuyacin hali da ta fuskanci adawar kabilanci. [4] A watan Fabrairun 2016 ne shugaban kasa Muhammadu Buhari ya tsige Onwenu, inda ya nada Abdulmalik Dauda ya gaje ta a matsayin Darakta Janar na riko. Onwenu ya soki Dauda saboda sauya wasu canje-canjen ma'aikata. Dauda ya rasu a watan Afrilun 2016. [5] A cikin 2017 an nada Mary Ekpere-Eta Darakta Janar na NCWD. [6]

NWCD na murnar nasarar da fitattun matan Najeriya suka samu tare da Babban Fame. An rubuta sunayen fitattun matan Najeriya a jikin bangon marmara. Katangar ta hada da matan shugaban kasar Najeriya kamar su Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, Maryam Babangida, Stella Obasanjo da Patience Jonathan, da wasu fitattun mata irin su Dr Elizabeth Awoliyi, Sanata Franca Afegbua, Dr (Mrs) Dora Akunyili, Dr (Mrs) Ngozi Okonjo- Iweala, Mrs Doyin Abiola, Farfesa Grace Alele Williams da Mrs Sarah Jibrin . [7] A cikin 2007, an shigar da mata 27 cikin zauren Fame. A watan Yunin 2019, an sami ƙarin mata 22: [8]
