Hi. From Commons I have seen that there are a number of Indian editors creating vanity spam articles. They are not very intelligent creating them in English at Hausa Wikipedia. I recommend just deleting them articles and their user pages. They aren't going to listen. I can see that they are repeatedly using Template:infobox musical artist, so after 2Rare in Special:WhatLinksHere/template:Infobox_musical_artist they are all spam. comment What I might do is set up an abusefilter that looks for numbers of the English words that we are seeing in the articles that are being created in main namespace. We can set that up in test, and if the admins are happy with it, we can look to set it to give a warning to users that are using the English language that they are at the wrong place. This allows to see that it is working as expected, and to tweak what we need to do. I have put a request to stewards to run some checks for the community m:special:diff/26161384. Depending on the results, you may be able to get stewards to place a range block on locally to cover the accounts that are being created. I won't be around for a week +++ as I am off on a field trip, so please keep an eye on that discussion. When the stewards come back, specifically prod them to consider placing a suitable range block. I think that the user Bilal Mustafa Sheikh is part of this process, and I suspect that there is a machine translator that this person is using to get articles into Hausa. I can see examples of where the same English-language text has been used to create the same articles, so there is some concerted effort or paid editing or something. You are going to need to make a hard decision about what to do with this user's article creations, it is not something that I am willing to do with my global sysop rights, it needs to be more a local decision. The stewards have reported that all this out of scope editing centres around the user "Bilal Mustafa Sheikh". The underlying IP addresses show a variety of activity though apparently interconnected. Some IP blocks may be undertaken, though we will have to await the steward's further analysis. I have recently being following through the Speedy Deletions tagged by @BnHamid. One most important thing I noticed about these pages is that; the problem is NOT ABOUT NOTABILITY, but is is ABOUT THE CONTENT OF THOSE PAGES. I have to RE-WRITE most of the pages ENTIRELY before removing the deletion tag. So, I understand if you thought the reason for the deletion was based on Notability.. No. It's about the quality of the content. We have a lot of newbies and some of them use to create many articles that are totally UNREADABLE.
