Nwando Achebe ta samu tallafi daga Gidauniyar Wenner Gren, Gidauniyar Rockefeller, Woodrow Wilson, Fulbright-Hays, Gidauniyar Ford, Hukumar Lafiya ta Duniya da kuma Hukumar bayar da tallafi ta Dan Adam. Ita ce kuma wacce ta samu lambar yabo ta littafi har sau uku.[10]
